Yes! One of the driving forces in my work is hope. People who have acted abusively are human. The capacity within all people to change our own behaviors is immense. It requires internal desire but also social support. 

I'm moved by the tenacity and determination of generations before me. Legendary Black women community activists,  who I have had the pleasure of studying under passed on an indistinguishable fire that pushes me forward during the most difficult times.

No. I engage in abolitionism which seeks to remove the existence of policing, the police force and prisons as we know them in modern society. Partnership with these entities would be antithetical to the practice of abolition.
